River of the dead-part 2

Suddenly, the sun swept out from behind a cloud. The river begain to dry. A cloud hid the sun once more. The river began to build up. Soon, the ground began to crack. The water was splitting it up like a wood spliter . The earth trembled just as Melvin did. The shaking woke up the army. One man ran toward a cave that was cracking into bits! One man backed away from the river. A crack opened and the man fell through! Suddenly the running soldier came out riding something enormous! It was a dragon!
It blew its flames . The river began to evaporate from the intense heat. Water splashed everywere. Suddenly, the river dissapeared! The dragon began to walk back to its cave. It steped into a puddle. It right then immeadiatly died! "We" Melvin said, "have to get away from here". That was that. The Army, battered and brused, begain to march away.

Melvin-By Kevin

The battle raged on. "Close that gap!" The Westbrians fought the Telmerines unwillingly. Hundreds of men lay dead on the battlefield. Hundreds of swords clang blade to blade. Melvin, a young soldier of 17, drew closer to the battle, marching with another 1000 men. Soon the 1000 closed into the attack! Melvin drew his sword out of its sheath, barreled himself into the midst of the battle, and struck. Before he knew it, most of his men lay dead, wounded, or were captured.
Melvin suddenly saw a man laying on the ground. His friend, John."John!"WHAP! A sword slacked Melvin on the arm! The arm plate sliped off. Melvin fought back the telmerine soldier. He had too much power for Melvin to handle. Soon, Melvin struck the man in the back. The man fell wounded and crawled away. Melvin was tired and he needed to get back to the castle{He was adopted by the king}.
Hours passed. The sun was going down. Melvin was struck in the arm where the plate had sliped away.
Now the bloody arm began to infect. Running low on men, Melvin called a fall back to re-group. Not a soldier listend. He called again. This time, 24 men flew back to thier camp.
